Fostex Announce Change to 6301 Series

Fostex announce the first model change to their 6301 series active monitor speakers in over 30 years of production.

The new 6301N series retains the robust die-cast construction of the current 6301 series, with new features including a 20W D-class amplifier, multi-voltage power handling, a detachable power cable and an energy saving Stand-by mode.

The compact dimensions are almost identical to the current 6301 model with the only difference being a decrease depth, due to it not featuring a heat sink. This means that this little powerhouse can fit in even smaller spaces!.

The new models consist of the 6301NB (unbalanced 1/4" phone input), the 6301NE (with electrically-balanced XLR input), the 6301NX (with transformer-balanced XLR inputs) and the 6301ND (with digital AES/EBU input).

At the same time, the mounting adapter, 9610, has been updated in the form of the new EB-6301 which allows rotation of the 6301N even when the cable is inserted.

Fostex will unveil the new 6301N at the NAB show 2014 with its US distributor American Music on booth (#C1462) and will start shipping the new 6301N in the latter part of 2014.

The current 6301 series will continue to be sold alongside these new models.
