Fostex introduces new PX-5 Monitor Speaker at NAMM
Fostex is pleased to announce the launch of the PX-5 Professional Monitor Speaker at The NAMM 13 (January 24-27, Anaheim, California).
The PX-5 (available Q1, 2013) is a professional monitor speaker consisting of 5.2-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter powered by 35W and 18W full digital amplifier for unprecedentedly accurate sound reproduction in this class.
Main Features (Preliminary)
- Driven by high quality digital amplifier of 35W(LF) and 18W(HF) output power
- 5.2-inch Crimson woofer of aramid fiber mixed diaphragm impregnated with resin to enhance fiber bonding for higher rigidity
- 1-inch Urethane film laminated polyester fiber dome tweeter tuned with back chamber for smooth frequency reproduction
- Digital Network Filter (FIR type) linear phase filtering to realize supreme sound positioning almost identical to a full range driver
- Unique Rotary Encoder plus LED indication with no ageing quality deterioration
- 440 step level control by Volume/Trim adjustments
- +/-3dB 0.3dB step tweeter level control and +/-20 step LF roll off frequency adjustment •Auto Standby / Auto Operation Function for electric power saving
- Fade In function to gradually increase the output level when powering on
- Frequency Response 20Hz to 20kHz (+/-2dB)
